How are they waterproof?

   They are lined with waterproof, non-toxic, PVC free, and vinyl free PolyUrethane Laminate (PUL). This is a long lasting material originally made for the medical industry that is made for high heat and thousands of washings.

   The proprietary design in our envibum cloth diapers automatically adjusts proportionately to your baby’s waist, rise, and legs. Soft durable long lasting elastic has a flexible give as your child grows.

   envibum’s plush Minkee diapers are made from high quality long lasting materials. The hidden layer of PUL is protected from heat elements in the dryer while making them stylish and super soft! Our 100% unbleached cotton with absorbency channels is unique to envibum and resist stain, stink, and buildup unlike “cheaper” diapers lined with fleece or microfiber(s). High quality name brand Velcro ensures tabs stay secured on your baby.    Unlike some companies that do, we feel this is a potential health risk to our employees and to all our envibum families. Bringing in used diapers into our “clean room” could contaminate our new diapers. Even if this is unlikely we do feel we do not have the right to make this decision for all our parents who trust us to provide a safe product for their baby. There is just no way to guarantee the safety of a resale diaper, sorry.

   We suggest at least a 12 pack of envibums, as a newborn can use 9 - 12 diapers a day and a baby less than one year can average 7 - 8 a day. That way your baby's bum is sure to be comfy and dry the whole day with most likely a little room to spare. Plus you may want some additional pads on hand, which are great for extra absorbency at night time or to extend the use of the diaper.

Do I need to worry about washing and the color of my diaper?

   No. The color fabric of each and every envibum cloth diaper does not "bleed" or cause any discolorization to your diapers. You can wash our diapers with confidence knowing our fabrics have been tested and will not cause any harm to other diapers or any other laundry for that matter.

   When washing your diapers, you can wash it even if they are a little soiled. Pre-washing is not necessary as our diapers were designed with ease of use. You can throw all your diapers together and know that with a standard wash and rinse cycle is all you need to do. No additional prewash or sanitizing wash before or after. We don't want to do any extra laundry than we have to, and we certainly don't want our customers to either!
